Societe Generale appoints Claire Dumas as Group Chief Financial Officer

Societe Generale announces the appointment of Claire Dumas as Group Chief Financial Officer effective as of 1st December 2021, reporting directly to Frédéric Oudéa, Chief Executive Officer.

William Kadouch-Chassaing, Deputy General Manager in charge of Finance, has decided to pursue new professional opportunities outside the banking sector and will leave the Group on 30 November 2021.

Currently Deputy Chief Financial Officer, in charge of the supervision of all retail banking and financial services activities, Claire has been a member of the Group’s Management Committee since June 2013.

Biography

Claire Dumas began her career at Deloitte as an Audit & Advisory Manager in 1992. In 1998 she joined Societe Generale group, where she held various management positions within the support functions of Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking. In 2009, she joined the Risk division where she was successively promoted Deputy and then Chief Operational Risk Officer for the Group. She has been ERM (Entreprise Risk Management) Programme Director for Societe Generale since the programme's creation in 2011. In October 2014, Claire Dumas was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Retail Banking in France, before being appointed Deputy Chief Financial Officer of the Group in September 2017 in charge of the supervision of all the retail banking and financial services activities. Claire is a member of the Group Management Committee since June 2013. Claire Dumas is a graduate of EDHEC business school and INSEAD Executive Programme.
