Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking appoints Olivier Biraud Senior Banker
Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking (SG CIB) announces the appointment of Olivier Biraud as Senior Banker in charge of the global relationship for a portfolio of large French corporates.
Based in Paris, he reports to Jacques Bitton, Co-Head of Coverage and Investment Banking for France. His appointment is effective from 4 February 2019.
Olivier Biraud has solid experience in the investment banking industry acquired within major French and international financial institutions.
Leveraging on his expertise in Corporate Finance, Olivier Biraud will be particularly in charge in developing the strategic advisory with the bank’s clients. In his role as a senior banker, he will work closely with all the Bank’s businesses to accompany corporates in all their needs.
The global wholesale offer proposed by Societe Generale mainly includes strategic advisory on Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), access to capital markets, financing, flow and cash management solutions and hedging products.
Biography:
Olivier Biraud joined Societe Generale in February 2019 as a Senior Banker in charge of the global relationship looking after a portfolio of large French corporates. Since 2014, he was a Partner at Barber Hauler Capital Advisers.
Olivier Biraud began his career at BNP in 1995 before joining Schroders’ investment banking in 1997. Since 2000, he worked at Citigroup where he co-headed the Merger & Acquisition (M&A) team in France and was also in charge of the coverage of the Media and Transportation sectors. He then took part in the creation of the Mediobanca’s French subsidiary in 2004 where he led the Corporate Finance department before becoming chief executive in 2012.
Olivier Biraud graduated from HEC Paris.
