Societe Generale named Best Bank for Sustainability
Societe Generale has won the prestigious IFR "Bank for Sustainability" award for "successfully accelerating and integrating the transition across all its activities".
The IFR "Bank for Sustainability" award, which holds a prominent place among ESG awards for financial institutions, testifies to the Group's ambition and the scope of its action plan to accelerate the integration of ESG issues into all its activities.

The award recognizes the Bank's transformation initiatives, training plans, and innovation capabilities, both in terms of solutions, new standards and the establishment of new partnerships. In 2023, the Group has set a target of reducing its exposure to the oil and gas production sector by 80% by 2030 and launching a €1 billion investment envelope for the transition. These new commitments, which are ever more ambitious and meaningful, have enabled Societe Generale to stand out.
