Societe Generale first partner in residence of PLAYER

Published on 05/11/2015

Since May 2015, Societe Generale has been a partner in residence of PLAYER, which is located at the heart of the Sentier district, one of the leading “French Tech” hubs in Paris. As a resident, Societe Generale has access to an extensive field of acculturation, experimentation and hybridisation for its members of staff.

A laboratory located at the heart of the Sentier French-tech-hub district of Paris to help people find inspiration, immerse themselves, rub shoulders with others and instigate transformation, PLAYER brings together, unites and runs a community of interdisciplinary players of change: futurists, social entrepreneurs, facilitators, start-ups, sociologists, researchers, coders, the media and large corporations. Seeking to bring about a new world, they meet up at PLAYER to reinvent the way people work together, accompany corporate transformation and spread the culture of a changing world.

This partnership allows the Societe Generale teams to discover and better understand the start-up ecosystem from within, supported by PLAYER and its community. They thus have an opportunity to share in the trials and experiments that drive the emergence of new types of collaborative work and to have direct access to this ecosystem’s players.

Since this partnership was signed, more than 370 members of staff have already been to PLAYER, teams have tried out coworking, and the first immersions – off-site project-accelerating sessions lasting a number of days – were held over the summer. A new momentum, renewed energy, the opportunity to compare one’s ideas with the opinions of external experts… Participants all agree that this is a truly enriching experience.

“PLAYER will open our Group to different approaches, visions and ways of working, and will thus help accelerate our digital transformation”, Aymeril Hoang, the Group’s Head of Innovation.
