The Citizen Commitment Games, an athletic challenge for charity

Published on 18/04/2014

To celebrate its 150th anniversary, Societe Generale is bringing team spirit to life by inviting its employees to take part in a sporting challenge for charity. Open to all employees, the purpose of the Games is to collect donations for partner charities.

In the nearly 30 countries on five continents where the Group is present, employees were able to choose among several sports (pétanque, flag rugby, five-a-side football, table tennis, relay racing or cycling) and form teams on behalf of the Group's partner organisations, for which they have been collecting donations since February.

Each country held qualifying rounds. The winning teams and those collecting the most donations will compete in a grand final in Paris on 14 June. It will be a day for celebrating togetherness and team spirit. Since they were launched, the Citizen Commitment Games have sparked a lot of enthusiasm and attracted a large number of athletes, volunteers and supporters who helped out at the various events, made donations or simply took part.
