Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking appoints a new global Head of Financial Institution Group

Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking (SG CIB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jose Enrique Concejo as global Head of Financial Institution Group. His appointment will be effective from 1 January 2018.

Based in Paris, Jose Enrique will report to Thierry d’Argent and Sylvie Rémond, Co-Heads of Coverage and Investment banking. He will replace Pierre-Yves Bonnet who, after 5 years heading the Financial Institution Group, will take new responsibilities within the bank. His new role will be announced at a later date.
Pierre-Yves Bonnet retains his current role within the Financial Institution Group until the end of 2017 and will focus on ensuring, since beginning of September, a smooth transition with Jose Enrique in coordination with Richard Kuras, Deputy Head of Financial Institution Group.
Leveraging on their solid experience and extensive knowledge in the sector, Jose Enrique Concejo and Richard Kuras will continue to further develop the financial institutions’ franchise.

The Financial Institution Group was created in 2012 to reinforce the bank’s sectoral expertise and to enrich its services and advisory offer for financial institutions. The department provides an integrated investment banking’s offer to serve banks, insurance, fund managers, pension funds as well as the public sector*. It brings together a senior bankers’ team in charge of the coverage as well as experts in capital structuring, capital markets and mergers & acquisitions.

Biography
Jose Enrique joined Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking in 2009 as Head of Coverage for Financial Institutions in Spain and Portugal. Jose Enrique worked for a large part of his career at UBS Investment Bank, starting in the chemicals team as a sectorial analyst, then as a Senior associate within equity capital markets, and finally as Head of coverage for Financial Institutions in Spain and Portugal.
Jose Enrique holds a MBA from the Wharton School and a master in International Studies from the Lauder Institute of Upenn. He is also a CFA charterholder.
