Societe Generale's App named best mobile banking application worldwide in 2014
After ranking number two global mobile banking application in 2013, Societe Generale's App has been awarded the top spot in the "all-in-one" application category by research company MyPrivateBanking Research* which analyses more than 200 of the mobile applications of 50 banks worldwide.
This performance once again illustrates the Bank’s digital leadership, confirmed by the Bain & Company 2013 Net Promoter® Score that ranked Societe Generale as France’s most-used retail bank for customers on the move**. The App boasts more than 35 million monthly connexions and has been downloaded more than 2.9 million times since its launch.
The research company highlights the unique nature of the Societe Generale App which brings together a range of services that perfectly meets users' expectations. The strong points of the Societe Generale App according to MyPrivateBanking Research are:
- the innovative nature of the solutions offered by the Bank such as budget management and payment methods;
- the ease of use of tools connecting customers to their banking advisor (one-click calling, secure voice messaging service, etc.) via the App;
- the quality of technical developments and the ease-of-use of customisation options provided to customers (configuration of the gauge with alert thresholds, etc.).
The Bank continues to pursue its strategy of useful innovation launched a few years ago, supplemented by a co-creation approach which has allowed it, in 2014 for example, to integrate additional transaction functions into its applications for its Retail customers and even its Business customers who enjoy the same know-how.
